The Friends of the Library is an organization that provides many extras for the library which may not ordinarily fit in the budget.  Some of the contributions made by the Friends include: the play kitchen and dress up area for the children’s room, contributions to the One Book, One County and Summertime Tunes programs, and covering the cost of summer reading and other library programs.  The Friends also organize and host both the Mother’s Day Store and the Father’s Day Store that serve area children by allowing them free "shopping" for a gift for their loved one.

The Friends of the Library meet two or three times a year to discuss upcoming projects.  New members are always welcome!  Dues are just $3 per year.
