Our History Room is a great resource for the genealogist or local history buff!

Obituaries  We are very proud of our unique Obituary File, which contains hundreds of local obituaries dating from the mid-1800's to the present.  Many of these come from a large collection of scrap books dating from the 1920's through the 1950's (these scrapbooks are also available for your use).

Yearbooks  We have most volumes from the White Pigeon High School/ Middle School, beginning with 1953.  Now they can also be viewed on our website!

Microfilm    We have various White Pigeon news publications on microfilm, dating from the 1830's.

Cemetery Records  We have the complete 5-volume set of Cemeteries of St. Joseph County, a great resource for genealogists.

Local History books  We have many local history publications, including the following which can also be purchased at the library:
    -White Pigeon by Wayne Dury
    -The History of St. Joseph County
    -The History of Klinger Lake
    -People in the Neighborhood
    -The Legend of Chief White Pigeon by Rob Sisson
    -From Moccasins to Main Street (DVD)
